"I met Dr. Keifer in 2011 when I was desperately searching to find help for my son. Dr. Keifer is compassionate to what the patient is going through. He is equally compassionate to the hearts of the families that are faced with a loved one in pain or struggling; and is masterful at bringing harmony to the ohana as a whole. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Keifer to anyone. "
"Have you seen a grown man cry? Wisdom, Structure, Hope. Dr. Keifer helped two parents drowning in despair regain control of our family. No fluff or ambiguity. By implementing simple but strategic practices, we witnessed our combative son discover a confidence and capacity we were afraid might never blossom. We wanted something tangible. A plan. Something powerful. A few months later, our lives, and more importantly, our child’s future, is now on firmer ground. If I could show you a before and after picture, you’d agree … the results were nothing short of a miracle."
Dr. Keifer is a kind, patient, compassionate doctor who takes time to actually listen to you. This is rare (from my experience) among health care persons today. His office staff is super helpful; getting an appointment was never an issue. Once there, I never had to wait more than 2 min to see him. I think Dr. Keifer is awesome and would recommend him to anyone who wants to make changes in their lives but need help."
"Dr. Keifer heard my story and made sure I clearly understood just how he could help me. I was confused about just how a psychiatrist would help my complex situation as my prior experiences were that they often had little time and focused mostly on making a quick diagnosis and prescribing medication, while another professional had done the psychotherapy. I always felt alone and isolated from my family members, all having there own opinions. Dr. Keifer's evaluation and treatment took all of my needs into account. He made the right diagnosis, prescribed medication, and most importantly also provided the therapy. He included other family members as part of the evaluation and treatment as indicated, in a way that was very specific to my needs and those of my family. With such an approach there was rapid improvement."
We had never considered seeking help from a psychiatrist before, but we faced a challenge with our child that lead us to The Kahala Clinic for Children and Family. Dr. Bell was highly recommended and now we can add to that. She is upbeat, intuitive, approachable and truly wants to provide excellent care - you will see progress with her help. She is nothing short of extraordinary! We have seen tremendous growth in our child. Now she is happy, maintains good relationships and is finding much success in school (this was not the case before). A very special component offered at The Kahala Clinic (for Children and Family) is that parents can receive assistance from Dr. Bell and Dr. Keifer jointly. Together they provide a wonderful balance. We have gained much insight as parents as well as a couple. Our aha moments come often when we are in their presence! They have a great understanding of the intricacies of family dynamics and provide concrete suggestions. We are very grateful to Dr. Bell and Dr. Keifer. There is no doubt, as a family we are better because of them.
