Justin J. Atkins
About:
Justin is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), who graduated with high honors. He is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care.

As a proud military veteran, Justin served as a combat medic in the U.S. Army, providing medical support in high-stress environments. Following his military service, he continued his dedication to acute care as an emergency room nurse at Queen’s Medical Center Punchbowl, honing his skills in rapid assessment and crisis intervention. These experiences have cultivated a calm, focused, and trauma-informed mindset, enabling him to approach psychiatric care with empathy, resilience, and a broad understanding of patients facing both acute crises and a wide range of mental health concerns.

At the Kahala Clinic for Children and Family, Justin provides psychiatric care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. He tailors his approach to meet the unique needs of each age group and family dynamic.

Outside of practice, Justin enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new cuisines, and staying active through regular workouts. He is passionate about giving back to the community and aims to use his training and life experience to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
