Dr. Martin earned his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California before moving to Hawaii for his General and Adult Psychiatry Residency. He has been in practice in Hawaii for over 8 years and specializes in functional and integrative psychiatry as well as ketamine assisted therapy.

Approach to Therapy:
Dr. Martin excels at putting patients at ease with his grounded and calming presence. His approach tends to be collaborative rather than prescriptive, customizing every treatment plan to the goals of the patient while identifying foundational aspects of health in need of extra support. His therapy incorporates cognitive, somatic, mindfulness, and psychedelic based approaches with judicious use of medication when symptoms are interfering with life functioning.
What motivates you to do this work?
There is something sacred about walking with patients through their life's challenges. While pain is felt in the body, suffering arises as a function of the mind; helping my patients find meaning, and ultimately relief from their suffering, is a privilege that brings great personal meaning to my own life.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Dr. Martin enjoys celebrating life with his friends and family through travel and as much wilderness adventure as he can.
